Certified Document Translation in Bangkok: Thai, English, French and Dutch

I’m Poy, founder of Spoyzy. I translate official and personal documents between Thai, English, French and Dutch for couples and families who need them in Thailand, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg or Switzerland – for a visa, a marriage, a family reunification file or a district office.

Because I work on both sides – Thai documents for European authorities and European documents for Thai authorities – I can tell you which translation your office will accept before you pay for anything. Send me a photo of your documents on WhatsApp and you’ll get a clear quote and delivery date.

Which kind of translation do you need?

The right translation depends on where you will use the document. This is where most people lose time and money, so I always check it first.

Short-stay Schengen visa (visiting family, a partner, holidays)

Thai documents only need a translation into English. No embassy legalisation is needed for a visit visa.

Marriage, family reunification or long-stay visa in Europe

Depending on what the authority requires, your documents are translated by a sworn or certified translator approved by the embassy. The documents are then legalised – first at the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Department of Consular Affairs), then at the embassy – so they can be used in Belgium, the Netherlands, France or another European country. I tell you exactly which documents need which step. See document legalisation in Thailand.

Using a European document in Thailand

To marry at a Thai district office, for example, foreign documents must be translated into Thai and the translation certified at the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs. See marriage registration in Thailand.

How it works

  1. Send a photo of each page on WhatsApp and tell me where you will use the documents.
  2. Quote and delivery date: I check what your office requires and send you a price and a date.
  3. Translation by me or, when your authority requires it, by a sworn or certified translator approved by the embassy. Names, dates and numbers are checked against the originals.
  4. Legalisation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the embassy, if your case needs it.
  5. Delivery: when your documents are ready, I send them by post or DHL Express to your address in Thailand or Europe.

How long does it take?

It depends on the number of documents and on whether legalisation is needed. You get a delivery date together with your quote, and urgent translations are possible on request. Legalisation at the Ministry and the embassy adds extra time, which I include in your planning.

Sending documents with DHL Express

  • DHL Express delivers documents (up to 500 g) between Thailand and Europe in about 2–3 days.
  • From Europe, DHL picks up the documents at your home – no need to go to a DHL office.
  • When everything is ready, I send the finished documents to your address.

Why work with me

  • One person, from start to finish. You talk directly to me, not to a call centre.
  • Four languages. I work in Thai, English, French and Dutch, so I can explain the process to both partners.
  • I know both sides. Thai district offices and European embassies have different rules – I prepare documents so they are accepted the first time.
  • No need to travel. DHL picks up your documents at home in Europe, and I send the finished documents to your address.
  • Rated 5.0 on Google by 50+ clients.

Frequently asked questions

Will the embassy accept the translation?

It depends on the embassy and the type of application, so I check your case first. For a short-stay Schengen visa an English translation is enough. For marriage and long-stay files the translation is made by a sworn or certified translator approved by the embassy, and the documents are legalised so they can be used in Europe.

Do you need the original documents?

For a quote, a clear photo is enough. For official use, I need the original document with its physical signature, exactly as it was issued by the authority (for example the district office). Scans and copies are not accepted. If you are in Europe, DHL can pick up your originals at home.

How much does a translation cost?

The price depends on the number of documents, the languages and whether legalisation is needed. Send me your documents on WhatsApp for a personal quote.

Can you translate Thai documents into Dutch or French?

Yes. Thai to Dutch for Belgium and the Netherlands, and Thai to French for Belgium, France, Luxembourg and Switzerland – and back into Thai.

Can you also legalise the documents?

Yes. I can take care of the translation and the legalisation at the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the embassy, so you have one person for the whole file.

I’m not in Bangkok – can you still help?

Yes. Send me photos on WhatsApp for a quote, then send the originals by DHL Express – from Europe DHL picks them up at your home and delivery takes about 2–3 days. When your documents are ready, I send them back to your address.

Send me a photo of your documents – I’ll tell you what you need, the price and the delivery date.
